Description

This course is the second one in our ‘HTML’ series. If you haven’t already, we recommend taking our “Fundamentals: What is HTML?” As this outlines how HTML coding fits into digital technologies and what children are expected to know before starting.

This course looks at the process you could take to introduce coding to your students. It works seamlessly with our resource “HTML: Starter Pack”, and enables you to learn and work with students. The aim is for you to be able to support students with any questions they have, while still allowing them the room to explore on their own.

In this course we cover how to code some core elements within HTML – like text, images, videos and lists, along with how to stylise them. From here we introduce how you can use tables to format and design the layout of your website. This then gives students ideas on how they can creatively express their knowledge through a website.

Our aim is to equip teachers with the knowledge to pass on the essential tools that children need in order to teach HTML coding. Without forcing children to become users of the program, but ensuring they stay creators.
