About This Course

This course is the first in our Scratch’ series.
Although we do highly recommend that you have completed “Unpacking Digital Technologies for Teachers” before delving into this course – as we will be building on and expanding key concepts mentioned there.

This course is designed as a professional development course for teachers, rather than a course to follow through with your class. The heart of this course is around how Scratch (both ScratchJr and Scratch) fits into Digital Technologies. When should we start teaching it, how should we approach the subject, and how do we measure progress?

Scratch is such a fulfilling and enjoyable form of coding for children, as they can immediately see their block based coding come to life in animations, stories and games.

This course is designed as an entry course into the subject, and aimed at Elementary and Middle School Teachers.
