The Haunted House | Halloween Stop Motion Animation
About this resource
This year is going to be the best Halloween ever! Especially when your students get to try our Halloween Stop Motion Animation project. You can teach your students the fundamentals of stop motion animation through the use of Google Slides. Whether you are on a Chromebook or iPad – your students will have so much fun!
This year, our Halloween characters are going to visit the scariest house on the street, because apparently that is where the best candy is kept! Can you record the journey they take to get the candy from the halloween house?
In this pack you’ll receive:
– PDF Download with Teacher Notes
– Google Slides link to share with your students.
– Google Slides link to our finish animation.
Check out our short film that we made with this pack:

This Stop Motion Google Slide Resource comes with a wide variety of characters, houses, candy types, extra halloween objects, speech bubbles, and backdrops. This allows for the entire class to have different end results with their animations. On top of this, there are a variety of different ways that children can set up their backdrop to add even more of their own creativity.
Progress Outcomes Covered
We’ve designed this project to look primarily at introducing aspects of Designing and Developing for Digital Outcomes – Progress Outcome 1
In authentic contexts and taking account of end-users, students participate in teacher-led activities to develop, manipulate, store, retrieve, and share digital content in order to meet technological challenges. In doing so, they identify digital devices and their purposes and understand that humans make them. They know how to use some applications, they can identify the inputs and outputs of a system, and they understand that digital devices store content, which can be retrieved later.
– Progress Outcome 1
Students are given the opportunity to use a digital application to develop, manipulate, store, retrieve and share digital content.
